Mike Müllers «Bestatter» wird nach der nächsten Staffel eingestellt. Der Entscheid sei gemeinsam gefällt worden, teilt SRF mit.

Die SRF-Erfolgsserie «Der Bestatter» wird beerdigt. Der Sender und die Darsteller hätten gemeinsam entschieden, das Format nach sieben Staffeln einzustellen und sich neuen Projekten zu widmen, heisst es in einer Mitteilung des Senders.

 

«Grossartige Arbeit» der Darsteller

«’Der Bestatter‘ war ein grosser Erfolg, der uns zeigte, dass unser Publikum gut erzählte Schweizer Geschichten liebt. Die Serie lebte nicht nur von der guten Grundidee und starken Stories, sondern vor allem auch von den Schauspielern rund um Mike Müller und Barbara Terpoorten», so SRF-Direktor Ruedi Matter. «Das Team vor und hinter der Kamera hat grossartige Arbeit geleistet. Ich danke Cast und Crew für Engagement, Herzblut und Leidenschaft. Ich freue mich auf die letzten Folgen im Januar 2019.»

Die Dreharbeiten zur Abschluss-Staffel starten am 17. Juni 2018 und finden wie gewohnt in der Region Aargau statt. Mike Müller zum Aus seiner Serie: «Aufhören, wenn man kann, nicht wenn man muss.» (wyt)
