تعيش بلدة عرسال اللبنانية، منذ نحو سنتين، شبه حصار بسبب المعركة التي شهدتها في أغسطس/آب 2014 بين الجيش اللبناني ومجموعات مسلحة، في مقدمتها تنظيما الدولة الإسلامية (المعروف بالدولة الإسلامية في العراق والشام ـ داعش سابقاً) وجبهة النصرة، وخلفت تدميراً وقتلاً لمدنيين وجنود لبنانيين ومسلحين كثيرين، وأسر عناصر من الجيش والأمن العام.

Magyarként megtapasztalhattuk, mit is jelent ez: régióink fejlesztésének elmaradását, iskoláink veszélyeztetését, nyelvi jogaink korlátozását.
