Jedes Kilogramm kostet Weite. Mit dieser Devise arbeiten viele Skispringer weltweit und hungern für den Erfolg. Einer von ihnen ist der Tscheche Vojtech Stursa. Bilder von ihm schockieren nun die Sportwelt. Der 21-Jährige posiert und legt beinahe seine Rippen frei. Die Aufnahmen erinnern an den ehemaligen Skispringer Sven Hannawald (43). Dieser wandelte jahrelang an der Grenze zur Magersucht und kämpfte mit seinem Gesundheitszustand.

Um die Gewichtsprobleme zu bekämpfen, führte der Weltverband 2004 eine Body-Mass-Index-Untergrenze (Körpergewicht geteilt durch Körpergrösse im Quadrat) ein. Mit neuen Regelungen können die Flieger diese Grenze öfters umgehen. Beispielsweise veränderte der Verband die Grössenmessung. Statt mit geschlossenen Beinen misst man in hüftbreit geöffneter Beinstellung. Die deutsche Skisprung-Legende Jens Weissflog (53) kritisiert in einem Interview mit der «Welt» die Umsetzung der Regel: «Es hat schon mit Einführung der BMI-Regel genügend Springer gegeben, die dennoch unter diesem BMI lagen.»

Die Springer unter BMI müssen als Strafe ihre Ski kürzen. Keine richtige Bestrafung, da die Faustregel lautet: Ein Kilogramm mehr kostet knapp zwei Meter Weite. Gekürzte Skis machen einen Meter pro kg aus, was bedeutet, dass untergewichtige Springer immer noch weiter springen.

Lange ignorierte der Verband die extremen Körperverhältnisse der Athleten. Nun hat er genug. Wie das dänische «Dagbladet» schreibt, verschärft er die Gewichtsregeln im Skisprung. Noch ist unklar, wie die Änderung aussieht.

Es ist ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung. Eine komplette Veränderung des Sports ist allerdings nicht möglich. Weissflog dazu: «Wir werden nie schwere Skispringer haben.»

The Interactive Map for Business of Anti-Human Trafficking Initiatives and Organisations was launched yesterday (22/05) at the British Telecom Centre in London.

IOM, the UN Migration Agency, as part of the RESPECT Initiative, joined the Global Business Coalition Against Trafficking (GBCAT), and the United Nations Global Compact through its Action Platform on Decent Work in Global Supply Chains organizations in launching this platform.

The Map is designed as a knowledge-sharing hub for countering human trafficking and will provide companies and other stakeholders with a global list of initiatives that can help them combat this abuse in their operations and supply chains.

IOM has an ongoing relationship with private sector leaders to address human trafficking. In 2017, the Organization partnered with the Global Initiative against transnational organized crime (GI) and Babson College’s Initiative on Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery to form the Responsible and Ethical Private Sector Coalition against Trafficking (RESPECT).

The launch event included a keynote speech by Baroness Philippa Stroud. IOM was represented by Sarah Di Giglio, IOM UK.

“In our globalized economy, the demand for cheap labour and services is what is driving human trafficking. Yet, the responsibility of the industries and consumers demanding cheap labour and cheap goods often goes unrecognized,” said Di Giglio. “Until we, the global community, address this demand and recognize that goods are sold cheaply because of the exploitation of workers including migrant workers, our efforts to end human trafficking will be wholly inadequate,” she added.

As a unified resource of information, the Interactive Map includes a repository of best practices and a stakeholder mapping report to serve as a primary resource for businesses engaged in combating human trafficking and forced labour.

Since 1994, IOM has worked extensively to combat human trafficking. For the past 14 years, the Organization has implemented more than 2,600 projects in over 150 countries and has assisted tens of thousands of trafficked persons.

Le ministre de l’Intérieur a indiqué avoir ordonné la mise en place d’un groupe de travail composé de tous les secteurs concernés pour examiner la question.

Le ministre de l’Intérieur et des Collectivités locales, Noureddine Bedoui, a annoncé sur son compte Facebook d’importantes décisions prises lors d’une réunion avec les cadres de son département, consacrée à plusieurs dossiers, notamment le couffin du Ramadhan et le hadj.
Concernant l’opération couffin du Ramadhan, qui est distribué dans des conditions humiliantes à des catégories de plus en plus importantes d’Algériens, M. Bedoui a insisté sur l’importance “d’une prise en charge totale des familles démunies en ce mois sacré, et ce, en application des instructions de Son Excellence le président de la République, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, concernant la consécration du rôle social de l’État”.
Le ministre, qui a fait état d’instructions du gouvernement pour le remplacement du couffin du Ramadhan par l’octroi de subventions directes aux intéressés, a indiqué avoir ordonné la mise en place d’un groupe de travail composé de tous les secteurs concernés pour examiner la question. “En vertu des décisions prises par le gouvernement en vue de l’octroi de subventions directes aux intéressés, j’ai ordonné la mise en place d’un groupe de travail composé de tous les secteurs concernés, chargé de mettre en place des mécanismes permettant la révision de cette méthode de répartition de cette aide sociale”, a-t-il indiqué, évoquant la réunion tenue avec les cadres de son département et consacrée à plusieurs dossiers, notamment à l’évaluation de la première phase de l’opération de solidarité durant le mois de Ramadhan. “L’amorce des préparatifs de cette opération se fera juste après le Ramadhan”, a précisé le ministre.
Par ailleurs, il a affirmé avoir pris connaissance du nouveau système d’information relatif à la distribution du couffin du Ramadhan pour toutes les communes du pays, et qui, ajoute-t-il, “permet de garantir un fonctionnement moderne et transparent de l’opération, à travers le contrôle du contenu du panier, la liste des bénéficiaires et même la date de distribution, ainsi que la vérification du contenu du panier de la part du citoyen bénéficiaire”. D’autre part, il a annoncé la prise en charge du problème des cantines scolaires, en soulignant que “nos enfants sont la priorité de nos priorités”. “Nous veillerons à ce que toutes les cantines scolaires offrent des plats chauds à partir de la prochaine rentrée scolaire”, rassure le ministre à ce sujet.
Pour joindre le geste à la parole, M. Bedoui a, lors d’une visite sur le terrain, refusé d’inaugurer une infrastructure scolaire qui n’était pas dotée d’une cantine.
Il a, par ailleurs, fait état d’autres mesures portant sur l’opération de pèlerinage pour la saison 2018, en rappelant les facilités à assurer pour la modernisation de l’opération, à travers la création d’un guichet unique à partir de la prochaine saison.
Lors de cette réunion, le ministre de l’Intérieur a, en outre, ordonné l’envoi d’une commission ministérielle conjointe dans les zones touchées par les inondations récentes qui ont touché un certain nombre de régions du pays.

The European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA), the European Defence Agency (EDA), the European Cybercrime Centre (EC3) and the Computer Emergency Response Team for the EU Institutions, Agencies and Bodies (CERT-EU) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a cooperation framework between their organisations.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Udo Helmbrecht, ENISA's Executive Director, Jorge Domecq, Chief Executive of the EDA, Steven Wilson, Head of EC3 and Ken Ducatel, CERT-EU's Acting Head.

The MoU aims at leveraging synergies between the four organisations, promoting cooperation on cyber security and cyber defence and is a testament to the trusted partnership that exists between these EU agencies.  More specifically, it focuses on five areas of cooperation, namely Exchange of information; Education & Training; Cyber exercises; Technical cooperation; and Strategic and administrative matters. It also allows for cooperation in other areas identified as mutually important by the four organisations.

This collaboration will ensure the best possible use of existing resources by avoiding duplicative efforts and building on the complementarity of ENISA, EDA, EUROPOL and CERT-EU. This framework brings added value to the expertise, support and services that these parties provide to the European Union organisations, Member States and all stakeholders concerned.

High Representative/Vice-President and Head of the European Defence Agency, Federica Mogherini said: “Cyberspace threats do not know of national borders. Cooperation among Member States but also at European level is therefore essential. Europe is stronger when it tackles threats together, in a common and coordinated approach. And this is exactly where this Memorandum of Understanding is key and where the added value of the European Union lies: working together, joining forces, putting the experiences and the knowledge of all at the service of our citizens' security. ”

Vice-President for Digital Single Market Andrus Ansip said: “We can face cyber threats successfully if we have in place a functioning exchange of information, we have strong technical capabilities and we work on basic cyber hygiene. Better cooperation between these EU agencies will lead to this result. ”

Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos said: “The threats against both our physical and virtual worlds are becoming increasingly connected. This is why increasing cyber security is one of the priorities of the European Union. But we can only do this effectively through stronger cooperation and joint actions, where our operational agencies, like Europol, can play a critical role with the expertise they bring to the table in support of our Member States. ”

Commissioner for the Security Union Julian King said: “The cross-border nature of the cyber threat means that cooperation has never been more important. This improved collaboration between ENISA, EDA, EC3 and CERT-EU will help us to strengthen our cyber resilience, build effective deterrence and help deliver credible cyber defence and international cooperation. ”

Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Mariya Gabriel said: “Trust and security are key components of the digital economy and society. The EU agencies should lead by example. Only by working closely together will we have a chance to mitigate the cybersecurity risks.”

Prof. Dr. Udo Helmbrecht, Executive Director of ENISA said: “ENISA welcomes the opportunity to work closely with our partner organisations. Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility, and it is only by cooperating closely with all relevant stakeholders that the EU has a chance to address cybersecurity challenges.”

Jorge Domecq, Chief Executive of the EDA: “EDA supports Member States in the development of their defence capabilities. As such, we also act as the military interface to EU policies. Today’s Memorandum of Understanding is an important step towards increased civil-military cooperation and synergies in the area of cyber security and cyber defence.”

Steven Wilson, Head of Europol’s European Cybercrime Centre (EC3): “This MoU illustrates how a safe and open cyberspace can only be achieved through enhanced cooperation and commitment. Through their participation, all parties involved demonstrate that they are willing to join forces and recognise that together we can provide the necessary response to cyber related threats. From EC3, we welcome the opportunity to enter a new era of working together with our MoU partners and are delighted to share our expertise and experience.”  

Ken Ducatel, Acting Head of CERT-EU, said: “The EU institutions, bodies and agencies rely on the specialised skills and tools in threat intelligence and incident response of CERT-EU. But, we don’t maintain these capacities by acting alone. That is why acting together with our peers and partners in the other signatories to this Memorandum is so important.”

The 2014 Cyber Defence Policy Framework called for the promotion of civil-military cooperation and synergies with wider EU cyber policies, relevant EU institutions and agencies as well as with the private sector. ENISA, EDA, EUROPOL and CERT-EU began initial discussions in 2016 which eventually led to this milestone signature. The principles behind this Memorandum of Understanding are fully in line with the implementation of the Joint Communication on Cyber issued by the High Representative and the European Commission in September 2017.

Two grand frameworks govern EU relations with African countries. The most long-standing one is the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP), updated in 2000 by the Cotonou Agreement. More recently, the Joint-EU Africa Strategy (JAES) conceived in the 2007 EU-Africa summit.

Neue Details zum tragischen Tod von Stephanie Adams (†47) und ihrem Buben Vincent (†7): Wie die Polizei am Montag laut «Daily Mail» bekannt gab, handelt es sich beim Tod des Ex-Playmates um Suizid, bei jenem ihres Sohnes aber um Mord. Demnach soll das ehemalige Erotik-Model am Freitag zuerst den Siebenjährigen aus dem Fenster im 25. Stock des Gotham Hotels gestossen haben, um anschliessend selbst in den Tod zu springen. 

Eine Autopsie ergab, dass die beiden an stumpfen Gewalteinwirkungen gestorben sind. Der Aufprall brachte den sofortigen Tod für Adams und ihren Sohn. Am Tatort wurde kein Abschiedsbrief gefunden.

Der Sorgerechtsstreit zerrte zu sehr an Adams' Nerven

Der genaue Grund für den Todessprung von Adams ist noch immer unbekannt, die einfache Mutter befand sich jedoch in einem erbitterten Sorgerechtsstreit um Vincent. Das einstige «Playboy»-Model hatte vor kurzem vor Gericht gebeten, ihren Sohn mit nach Spanien nehmen zu dürfen. Dies wurde jedoch abgelehnt.

Adams hatte 2009 dem Chiropraktiker Charles Nicolai das Jawort gegeben, kurz danach folgte der gemeinsame Sohn Vincent. 2017 reichte die «Playboy»-Miss-November aus dem Jahr 1992 die Scheidung ein und beantragte das alleinige Sorgerecht. Adams deutete auf Twitter selbst an, sie soll Opfer häuslicher Gewalt geworden sein. (bcv)
