Mielőbbi szigorúbb fellépést sürgetett a kilométeróra-csalás ellen csütörtökön az Európai Parlament (EP), a képviselők azt indítványozták, hogy az Európai Bizottság egy éven belül nyújtson be javaslatot a csalások visszaszorítására.

A strasbourgi plenáris ülésen nagy többséggel megszavazott állásfoglalás szerint új szabályok bevezetésével kellene elejét venni a csalásoknak, például EU-szerte kilométeróra-nyilvántartást kellene felállítani, és az egyes nemzeti regiszterekhez így mindegyik uniós tagállam hozzáférhetne. A használt autót vásárlók így a gépjármű korábbi regisztrációs helyétől függetlenül ellenőrizhetnék a futásteljesítményt.

Hangsúlyozták: a számlálók adatait az autó üzembe helyezésétől kezdve minden műszaki vizsgálatnál, karbantartáskor, javításkor és egyéb szervízeléskor kötelezően rögzíteni kellene. Kiemelték ennek kapcsán, hogy Belgiumban és Hollandiában ezen módszernek köszönhetően szinte teljességgel sikerült felszámolni ezt a fajta csalást.

A képviselők felszólították a bizottságot, hogy fogalmazzon meg egyértelmű követelményeket az autógyártók számára a kilométerórák védettségének ellenőrzésére. Végezetül közölték, az EU minden államában bűncselekményként kellene meghatározni a számláló manipulálását, mivel az rontja az utak biztonságát. Ez jelenleg csak hat tagországban számít bűncselekménynek.

“Egyes tagállamokban az eladott autók 5-12 százalékában, a más uniós országból behozott autóknak pedig harminc-ötven százalékában visszatekerték a kilométer-számlálót” – mutatott rá Ismail Ertug jelentéstevő. “Ajánlásaink jogszabálytervezetté formálásával a bizottság évi hat-kilenc milliárd eurót takarítana meg, és visszaállítaná a fogyasztók bizalmát a használtautó-piacban. Az utak is biztonságosabbá válnának. Itt a remek alkalom, hogy a fogyasztók védelme révén tegyük kézzelfoghatóvá, mit is ad nekünk az Európai Unió” – közölte.

Deli Andor EP-képviselő aláhúzta, hogy az óra visszatekerése jelentős anyagi kárt okoz a polgároknak és a közlekedésbiztonságra is veszély jelent, ezért minden eszközzel harcolni kell a csalások visszaszorítása érdekében. “A helyzet a nyugat-európai átlaghoz képest még lesújtóbb a 2004 után csatlakozott tagállamok esetében. Nem hagyhatjuk, hogy a térségünk a nyugaton leselejtezett és hamis számokat mutató gépjárművek lerakatává váljon” – írta közleményében a politikus.

Az állásfoglalás nyomán az Európai Bizottságnak jogszabály-javaslattal kell előállnia, vagy meg kell indokolnia, hogy miért nem teszi ezt.
