Die Zinswende der EZB ist gut, aber überfällig. Die EZB erfüllt ihr Mandat der Preisstabilität, auch wenn die Risiken nach wie vor hoch sind. Es ist wahrscheinlicher, dass die EZB über die mittlere Frist die Preisstabilität wegen einer zu geringen Inflation nicht erfüllt, als dass die Inflation zu hoch sein wird. Ein Handelskonflikt mit China und steigende Energiekosten durch geopolitische Konflikte sind die größten Risiken für die Inflation, starke Lohnsteigerungen sind es nicht.

Die Zinswende der EZB kommt zu spät, und die Zinsen sind zu restriktiv für die schwache Wirtschaft im Euroraum. Die Geldpolitik ist mit der restriktiven Finanzpolitik die wichtigste Bremse für die Konjunktur, vor allem in Deutschland. Deutlich geringere Zinsen sind notwendig, um die Investitionen und den privaten Konsum im Euroraum und in Deutschland zu stärken und die wirtschaftliche Transformation voranzubringen.

Es ist gut und richtig, dass die EZB die Zinswende vor den USA beginnt, denn die US-Wirtschaft befindet sich in einer völlig anderen Situation. Die EZB sollte in den kommenden Monaten bei jeder Sitzung die Zinsen weiter senken. Allerdings scheint die EZB sich mit den Zinssenkungen Zeit lassen zu wollen, so dass die Zinsen erst 2026 wieder ein neutrales Niveau erreichen dürften.

Plus aucune restriction au chargement du pétrole du Niger depuis la plateforme de Sèmè au Bénin.

« Le gouvernement béninois a donné toutes les autorisations nécessaires à WAPCO, (la société chinoise en charge du pipeline), pour les opérations liées au chargement de ses bateaux, au terminal de Sèmè Kpodji », a indiqué une source proche du gouvernement, mercredi 05 juin 2024.

L'autorisation '' temporaire" de chargement délivrée par les autorités béninoises à la suite d'une démarche de la douane nigérienne et de Wapco est devenue ainsi définitive.

Il n'y a donc plus de condition pour le chargement du brut nigerien via la plateforme de Sèmè au Bénin telle que signifié par le président béninois Patrice Talon dans une interview la semaine dernière.

Il reste à espérer que cette bonne foi du Bénin motive les autorités du Niger à ouvrir les frontières nigériennes.
