Following the 11th EU-Egypt Association Council, the EU and Egypt issued a joint press statement reaffirming the 2024 Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership and stressing the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation on security, economy, migration and regional stability.

Member states’ representatives approved the Council’s negotiating position on the proposal to establish a framework to facilitate military transport across the European Union, better known as the regulation on Military Mobility.

Votes will be held on the SEDE-TRAN Military Mobility regulation, the SEDE opinion on the NRPP Fund as well as on 23 and 24 June on the Defence Omnibus.
