On 15 January, in a joint meeting of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Budgets, the members of both committees will discuss with Gert Jan Koopman, Director-General of DG NEAR, European Commission the implementation of the Reform and Growth Facilities for the Western Balkans and for the Republic of Moldova.
The facilities aim at supporting the six Western Balkan countries and the Republic of Moldova on their path to EU accession on the basis of ambitious Reform Agendas. Members will scrutinise the Commission as to how the funds are disbursed and if the conditionality requirements set out in both regulations are met.
