Megkezdődött Varsóban az ukrán légimentőket kiképző tanfolyam, amelyen a sérültek és betegek kimenekítését gyakorolják háborús területekről.

Az első, tíz napig tartó kurzuson tíz légimentőt képeznek ki. A március végéig megvalósítandó projektben összesen ötven ember vesz részt öt csoportban.

A varsói légimentő központban a tanfolyamot Adam Niedzielski egészségügyi miniszter, Jacek Siewiera, a lengyel Nemzetbiztonsági Iroda (BBN) főnöke, valamint Irina Mikicsak ukrán egészségügyi miniszterhelyettes részvételével nyitották meg.

Niedzielski elmondta, hogy a kiképzés az európai uniós szabványoknak megfelelően zajlik, ezzel is elősegítve Ukrajna európai integrációját.

Mikicsak közölte, hogy a háború kitörése óta az ukrajnai kórházakból Lengyelországba, illetve Lengyelországon keresztül más államokba több mint kétezer gyógykezelés alatt álló pácienst menekítettek ki, köztük másfél ezer rákbeteget.

Robert Galazkowski, a lengyel légimentő szolgálat igazgatója elmondta: egy, már befejezett, 15 hétig tartó projekt keretében 550 ukrán orvost és egészségügyi dolgozót képeztek ki, ők most Ukrajnában a frontvonal közelében teljesítenek szolgálatot.
