A group of 15 MEPs from the European People's Party, including chairman Manfred Weber, on Monday urged the European Commission to take action to eradicate violence against women - and member states to ratify the Istanbul Convention. "Now is the time for concrete action to ensure that every European is protected, whether from the Covid-19 virus or violence within the home," reads the letter.

MTI: Két és fél hónapos szünet után hétfőn Csehországban újra megnyíltak az általános iskolák alsó tagozatai, a vendéglők, a szállodák, a strandok, a múzeumok és újra látogathatók a kórházak és az idősotthonok.

RTVS: Egyetértésre talált az ügyben a két OĽANO-s miniszter – Ján Budaj, a környezetvédelmi-, és Ján Mičovský, a földművelési tárca vezetője. A két minisztérium előkészíti a szükséges intézkedéseket.

A kisboltokra vonatkozó vasárnapi boltzár meghatározatlan időre történő meghosszabbítását a Smer-SD és a ĽSNS is támogatja. Az SaS szerint ezzel a koalíción belüli viszonyok aláásására törekednek.

Védelmébe vette vasárnap Boris Johnson brit miniszterelnök politikai főtanácsadóját, aki nem cáfolt sajtóhírek szerint megsértette a koronavírus-járvány megfékezése végett elrendelt karanténintézkedéseket.

Une dame âgée de 45 ans environ a perdu la vie à Dodopanè, dans la commune de Kandi en fin de semaine écoulée alors qu'elle tentait de séparer deux frères qui se bagaraient.

La victime selon les informations, essayait de calmer des deux frères quand elle a été poignardée par l'un d'entre eux. Le frère auteur de l'assassinat, est l'enfant de sa coépouse âgé de 17 ans.
Le corps de la dame a été inhumé le même jour, jeudi 21 mai dernier après les constats de la Police républicaine.
Son agresseur a été conduit au commissariat de Kandi, et sera présenté au procureur de la République.

Május 24-én 645 koronavírus tesztet végeztek a szlovákiai laboratóriumokban, amelyekből 2 zárult pozitív eredménnyel. A járványnak vasárnap nem volt halálos áldozata.

The Security and Defence Subcommittee will hold a debate with High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/European Commission Vice-President Josep Borrell Fontelles, on 26 May. The discussion will focus on the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on security and defence, including on CSDP missions and operations. The use of military means to support the fight against the pandemic, and the EU response to cyber-attacks and disinformation campaigns will also be looked into.
