In most Sub Saharan African countries renewable energy has been part of the energy mix balance-sheet for quite a long time. This paper pierce the veil of the energy sector to unearth the underlying factors driving renewable energy output in the region using a panel data of 32 SSA countries from 1990 to 2015. The study rely on the Driscoll-Kraay estimator to correct the problem of cross sectional dependence and serial correlation in the model. Findings from the study point to the underlying factors of renewable energy output in Co2 emissions per capita, income per capita, oil prices, trade openness, natural resource rents, urbanization, population growth rate, and climatic stress. The study proposes policies that incorporates environmental awareness in the national development plans of countries; increasing renewable energy consumption among the middle class; encourage regional renewable energy grid sharing; implementing and expanding the feed-in-tariff system; and granting tax incentives to companies that seek to invest and develop the renewable energy sector in the region.

L'empereur mondial est poursuivi pour complicité de coups et blessures dans un dossier de violence sur un de ses collaborateurs. Présenté au procureur près le tribunal de Cotonou, lundi 19 juillet, Kabiessi Owolobê a été mis sous convocation .
Quant à ses ministres poursuivis dans le même dossier, ils viennent de passer leur deuxième nuit en prison.

Neuf personnes ont été présentées lundi 19 juillet 2021 au procureur de la République dans l'affaire de flagellation d'un jeune dans le Palais de l'empereur Kabiessi Owo-Lobè. Après son audition, l'empereur a été libéré et placé sous convocation.

Lors de son audition, informe Frissons Radio, l'empereur Owo-Lobè a confié n'avoir donné aucune instruction pour que la victime soit flagellée. Il a aussi déclaré n'avoir aucune connaissance préalable du plan de ses collaborateurs. L'empereur Owo-Lobè a reconnu avoir été informé par son premier ministre d'une réunion nécessitant la présence de M. Ibrahim, la victime. Ses propos ont été confirmés par le premier ministre ayant initié la réunion de châtiments corporels. L'empereur Kabiessi Owo-Lobè a été libéré et placé sous convocation et est poursuivi pour complicité de coups et blessures volontaires. Les huit ministres ont été déposés en prison. Ils sont poursuivis pour coups et blessures volontaires.

La victime Ibrahim apprend Frissons Radio, a reçu une somme de 250.000 FCFA comme indemnisation pour ses soins. Les vidéos du jeune homme victime de flagellation dans le palais de l'empereur des Ogboni ont été diffusées sur les réseaux sociaux ce week-end mais les faits remontent à la nuit du 22 au 23 juin dernier.
