Sulyok Tamás az államfő, a miniszterelnök és a házelnök közreműködését kérte abban, hogy az Alkotmánybíróság zavartalan működéséért felelős hatalmi ágak megfelelő és hatékony intézkedésekkel, garanciákkal hosszú távon biztosítsák a demokratikus jogállam alappillérének, az Ab-nak az alkotmányos rend szerinti működőképességét.

A Legfőbb Ügyészség a közleményében azt írta: Polt Péter legfőbb ügyész és az ügyészség “megvédi az alkotmányos rendet, a polgárok jogait és biztonságát”. Hozzátették: “a jogállam védelme során e tevékenységét az Alkotmánybírósággal és más alkotmányos szervekkel együttműködve végzi”.

Az elnök szerint az egyes pártok által megfogalmazott “és velük szimpatizáló értelmiségi körök által egyértelműen támogatott nézetek” a jogállamiság és a demokrácia elleni közvetlen és súlyos támadások, és mint ilyenek egy demokratikus jogállamban teljességgel elfogadhatatlanok.

Az Alkotmánybíróság mindegyik hatalmi ág felett alkotmányos kontrollt gyakorol – jelezte levelében az Ab elnöke – , “de zavartalan működését a törvényhozó és a végrehajtó hatalmi ágak együttesen kötelesek biztosítani” – írta.
