France has withdrawn its last troops from its Barkhane operation in Mali, ending a nine-year struggle against jihadist forces. A ljubljanai kormány még vizsgálja az orosz állampolgárok turistavízumának felfüggesztésére tett javaslatot – közölte pénteken a külügyi tárca, hozzátéve, hogy Szlovénia továbbra is “az EU-tagállamokkal közösen keresi a megoldásokat”.

A minisztérium kiemelte: Szlovénia a vízumeljárás során megköveteli annak igazolását, hogy a turisták valóban Szlovéniába érkeznek, mégpedig úgy, hogy vízumigényléskor érvényes repülőjegyet is fel kell mutatniuk a kérelmezőknek.

A javaslatot, miszerint az EU tagországai függesszék fel a turistavízumok kiadását orosz állampolgároknak, mert az oroszoknak nem szabadna Európában nyaralniuk, miközben az orosz kormány háborút folytat Ukrajna ellen, először Volodimir Zelenszkij ukrán elnök vetette fel, majd később csatlakozott hozzá Észtország és Finnország miniszterelnöke, Kaja Kallas és Sanna Marin.

Eközben a horvát lapok arról cikkeztek pénteken, hogy Horvátországban több az orosz turista, mint az ukrajnai menekült.

A Vecernji List című horvát napilap azt írta: az orosz-ukrán háború kitörése óta ötvenezer orosz turista érkezett az országba, míg az ukrán menekültek száma húszezer. Hozzátették: bár közvetlen repülőjárat nincs Oroszország és Horvátország között, a turisták Szerbián és Törökországon keresztül érkeznek az országba érvényes vízummal.

A lap jelezte, az orosz turistavízumok felfüggesztésének kérdését az uniós külügyminiszterek a hónap végén vitatják meg Csehországban, amely júliusban vette át fél évre az Európai Unió Tanácsának elnökségét.
