Le Burundi a rejeté les demandes du Conseil de paix et sécurité de l'Union africaine. L'organisation souhaitait l'envoi d'experts militaires, d'observateurs des droits de l'homme et un dialogue pour un calendrier électoral consensuel. Bujumbura a balayé ces requêtes. Une attitude qui ne fait pas l'unanimité sur le continent. Elle est en tout cas critiquée par Ali Bongo, le président gabonais, actuellement en déplacement en France.

Les eurodéputés ont tenté de renforcer la protection de la liberté d’information dans le texte européen sur le secret d’affaires, lors d’un vote en commission des affaires juridiques. Mais une pétition lancée en France contre cette nouvelle directive a obtenu 300.000 signatures.

Natalia Jareszko ukrán pénzügyminiszter bejelentette, hogy Kijev elismeri a hárommilliárd dolláros tartozását Oroszország felé – írja a LifeNews. Ezzel a nyilatkozattal megcáfolta az ukrán elnök kijelentését, aki Janukovics kenőpénzének nevezte az oroszok által hárommilliárd dollárért vett ukrán államkötvényeket. „Elismerjük ezt a hárommilliárd dolláros tartozást ugyanúgy, mint minden más európai kötvényt. Nem titkolom azt, hogy át akarom ütemezni a tartozást. Minden tőlem telhetőt megteszek. Számos programunk van, ezért el kell érnünk a tartozás átütemezését” – mondta az ukrán miniszter.

Elképzelhető, hogy az Egyesült Államok Európába vezényel néhányat a legfejlettebb, F-22-es típusú harci gépéből, hogy erődemonstrációval válaszoljon Oroszország ukrajnai fellépésére - jelentette ki Deborah Lee James légierőért felelős miniszter a CNN amerikai televízió híroldalának keddi közlése szerint. James akkor nyilatkozott erről, amikor hétfőn felkereste a párizsi légi szalont.

Au Burkina Faso, les musulmans préparent le mois du ramadan dans un contexte très particulier. Depuis l'insurrection populaire et la chute de Blaise Compaoré, le pouvoir d'achat des populations semble se dégrader de plus en plus. Pour les commerçants, les affaires tournent au ralenti et les populations dénoncent déjà les prix de certaines denrées alimentaires utiles pour le mois du ramadan. Un mois qui pourrait être difficile pour de nombreuses familles.

A Topolyai-tó partján a nagy melegnek köszönhetően az elmúlt hétvégén hatalmas tömeg gyűlt össze, hogy a vízben megmártózva frissüljenek fel. Az ember szeme azonban a kellemes és örömteli pillanatokban is megakad a neki nem tetsző, az oda nem illő, a zavaró vagy esetleg bosszantó dolgokon. Egy ilyen környezetben a szemét az, ami egyből szemet szúr, és senki sem tud szó nélkül elmenni a megtelt szemeteskannák és a körülöttük szétszórt hulladék mellett, főleg úgy, hogy mindenki tisztában van azzal, hogy nem új keletű problémáról van szó, előzetesen is számolni lehetett vele, és fel lehetett volna rá készülni. A topolyai helyi közösség által június elsejétől alkalmazott közmunkások, akiknek rengeteg a tennivalójuk magában a városban is, a vasárnap esti vihar után hétfőn reggel takarították le a partot. Szatmári Mihály, a helyi közösség végrehajtó bizottságának elnöke elmondta, hogy a jövőben nagyobb figyelmet szentelnek a tópart tisztaságának, és a tervek szerint hétvégenként is naponta egy-két alkalommal össze fogják gyűjteni a szemetet, reményeik szerint a közmunkásokkal is sikerül megegyezniük, akik munkaideje hétfőtől péntekig tart. A szemetesek számával egyébként nincs baj, túlzás nélkül állíthatjuk, hogy a strand bármely pontjáról csupán néhány lépés a legközelebbi kosár.

A hétvégén nagy figyelmet kapott a hír, hogy a tóba ismeretlen eredetű szennyeződés került, amely halpusztulást okozott. Az ügyben felkerestük Saša Srdić községi környezetvédelmi tanácsost, aki elmondta, hogy a szennyeződést a horgászok észlelték mintegy tíz nappal ezelőtt. A tó északi részében, a Karađorđevói hídnál valamilyen fehér színű szennyeződést és néhány elpusztult halat figyeltek meg. A szennyeződés, amelyet a feltételezések szerint a mezőgazdaságban használt növényvédő szerek okoztak, ezt követően délre, a strand felé húzódott, ott azután megszűnt. Ezzel kapcsolatban értesítették a tartományi környezetvédelmi felügyelőséget, a Vajdaság Vizei közvállalatot, valamint a tartományi környezetvédelmi titkárságot. Arról nincsenek információink, hogy a felügyelőség embere kivonult-e a terepre, hisz ezt nem köteles bejelenteni, és egyelőre nincs hiteles jelentés az ügyről. A szennyeződés, mint már utaltunk rá, megszűnt, a fokozott óvatosság azonban továbbra sem árt, de Srdić reményét fejezte ki azzal kapcsolatban, hogy csak egyszeri alkalomról van szó.

Ide kívánkozik a hír, hogy a tópartra vízi mentőket keresnek. Az érdeklődők a topolyai helyi közösségben vagy a helyi Vöröskeresztnél jelentkezhetnek. Jelenleg két vízi mentőre van szükség, akik egy a Vöröskereszt által szervezett rövid képzés elvégzése után, azonnal munkába is állhatnak.

Brigadegeneral Franz Xaver Pfrengle ist zum neuen Befehlshaber der EU‑Ausbildungsmission in Mali (EUTM Mali) ernannt worden. General Pfrengle aus Deutschland übernimmt sein Amt am 28. Juli 2015. Er ist der Nachfolger von Brigadegeneral Alfonso García-Vaquero Pradal, der seit Oktober 2014 der Befehlshaber war. 

Die EUTM Mali unterstützt den Wiederaufbau leistungsfähiger und rechenschaftspflichtiger malischer Streitkräfte, um sie in die Lage zu versetzen, langfristig Sicherheit in Mali zu gewährleisten und unter einer zivilen Regierung die territoriale Integrität des Landes wiederherzustellen. Dazu veranstaltet die EUTM Mali Schulungen für Einheiten der malischen Streitkräfte und entwickelt eine eigenständige Ausbildungskapazität. Ferner berät die Mission die malischen Behörden bei der Reform der Streitkräfte. 

Der Beschluss ist vom Politischen und Sicherheitspolitischen Komitee der EU gefasst worden.

Les ministres européens de la Justice se sont mis d’accord sur les règles de protection des données lors d’une réunion au Luxembourg le 15 juin.  Mais la question du transfert de données à l’étranger reste sensible. 

June 16, 2015 (PARIS) - A member of the European Union Parliament called to reconsider the Khartoum Process on human trafficking in a way to support peace and democratic reforms in the Horn of Africa countries, particularly in Sudan.

Marie-Christine Vergiat, a member of the committee on Civil Liberties and Justice at the European Union Parliament criticized the EU-Horn of Africa Migration Route Initiative, also known as the ‘Khartoum Process' saying the African government involved in this process are the ones which should be held accountable for causing this recent waves of illegal migration into Europe.

In a meeting held in Rome on 28 November 2014, EU countries and Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia South Sudan, Sudan and Tunisia agreed to coordinate efforts to stop human trafficking and smuggling of migrants between the Horn of Africa and Europe.

They further agreed to promote sustainable development in countries of origin and transit in order to address the root causes of irregular migration.

Vergiat said the Italian presidency of the European Union, at the time, played a negative role by talking directly with the heads of state and government in the whole countries in the Horn of Africa in way to legitimize them and give them some credibility.

"From the beginning, I have been opposed to the Khartoum Process because I do not see how we can work with those governments, as they are fully involved in the trafficking issue. Instead, we risk reinforcing the repression of people looking to immigrate because they are victims of violence and conflicts," she said.

"So, if the EU really wants to find solutions to these issues we must first stop legitimizing those governments," added the EU legislator who is a member of the European United Left - Nordic Green Lef.

The French lawmaker who organized a hearing for the opposition "Sudan Call" forces at the EU parliament in Strasbourg on 9 June pointed out that the Sudanese opponents deserve a special treatment because they worked hard to unify their ranks.

She added that they are also interested by the situation of the human rights in countries like Eritrea but divisions among the opposition forces there prevent them from engaging in constructive dialogue with them.

"So, from the moment that there is an organized opposition, able to work together, make proposals and meet European officials, I think it can be intelligently argued to deliver a counter-model and demonstrate that in these countries there can be no solution without implementing peace processes involving all stakeholders in a genuine and serious dialogue," she said to explain her position on Sudan.

Vergiat disclosed that the EU civil liberties committee would receive Sudanese civil society groups during the upcoming period. She further said that they seek to mobilize EU MPs and draw attention to the Sudanese issue and to work closely with the foreign affairs committee at the European Parliament.

The Sudan Center for Transitional Justice and Peace Studies (SCTJPS), which supported the hearing of the Sudanese opposition forces earlier this month also confirmed the meeting with the Sudanese civil society groups.

SCTJPS officials told Sudan Tribune that the EU MPs agreed to received them and they are seeking to determine a date for this meeting, pointing that Sudan is not the only priority at the agenda of the EU Parliament.

Vergiat said they need to hear the civil society groups particularly those who had been prevented by the Sudanese authorities from participating in the hearing of the "Sudan Call" forces.

The Sudanese security services imposed a travel ban on the rights groups and political leaders who were invited to participate in a meeting with the European legislators on the perspectives of peace in Sudan after the general elections held last April.
