Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ogtay Asadov has met a delegation of Australian parliamentarians.

VIENNA, 5 June 2015 – The Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Igor Crnadak, in his capacity as Chairperson of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, will address  the OSCE Permanent Council, on Tuesday, 9 June, 2015, at the Hofburg in Vienna.

Crnadak will present the priorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina as it chairs the Council of Europe for the next six months. He will also speak about the current situation in the country, Euro-Atlantic integration as well as co-operation in the Western Balkans.

The address will take place in the Neuer Saal of the Hofburg Congress Centre, on Tuesday, 9 June, from 10:30 and is open to media representatives.  Crnadak will be available for questions after the address.

162511 Gohar Avagyan, OSCE Office in Yerevan Universal Rights Awards Ceremony

The OSCE and international partners honoured individuals working to promote human rights, accountable governance, local government reform, and free speech in Armenia at the Universal Rights Awards Ceremony held on 4 June 2015 in Yerevan.

Ambassador Andrey Sorokin, Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan, presented Freedom Defender award to Shushan Doydoyan, President of Freedom of Information Centre. “A long- time partner of the OSCE, Shushan has been a tireless defender of human rights and fundamental freedoms. The OSCE Office appreciates Ms. Doydoyan’s commitment toward the promotion of open, transparent and accountable governance as well as her efforts to establish alternative mechanisms for resolving media-related disputes”.

The Coalition to Stop Violence against Women received the Woman of Courage Award in recognition of courageous advocacy for protection of the rights of women and promotion of gender equality in Armenia. The international community also acknowledged efforts by Zaruhi Mejlumyan, a journalist and the President of Armenian Innocence Project NGO, who was presented with the Media Excellence award for her commitment in writing about and defending the rights of prisoners facing or serving life imprisonment.

The Inter-Agency Anti-Trafficking Working Group was given the Government Reformer Award as the best example of government-civil society co-operation and Mayor of Akhuryan community, Artsruni Igityan, was given the Local Government Reformer Award for his creative and environmentally conscious initiatives.

The newly introduced award of Promoting Inclusion was presented to Armen Alaverdyan, the Executive Director of Unison NGO, for his contribution in creating more opportunities for people with disabilities and his efforts to build a more inclusive society.

Established in 2012, the Universal Rights Awards Ceremony was the first multi-mission initiative to highlight contributions of Armenia’s civil rights activists, government officials, and media and civil society representatives in the promotion of human rights.

The event was co-organized with the United States Embassy, the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, the British Embassy, the Council of Europe’s Office in Yerevan and the UN Armenia Office.

Teniszberkekben továbbra is Novak Đoković nagyszerű párizsi negyeddöntős győzelme a fő téma. Egyesek ugyan túloznak, azt állítva, hogy a világelső a szerdai meccsen örökre megtörte Rafael Nadal salakos uralmát, hisz nemcsak a spanyolt, hanem a szintén a negyeddöntőben vesztes Roger Federert sem szabad még leírni, bár egyre valószínűbb, hogy az elkövetkező időszakban Đoković és Andy Murray meccsei jelentik majd a sportág csúcsrangadóját. Ma délután fél négy, négy óra tájt éppen a szerb és a skót meccse következik a Roland Garros centerpályáján, azt megelőzően pedig délután egy órától a döntő másik helyéért a svájci Stan Wawrinka és a francia Jo-Wilfred Tsonga mérkőznek.

Novak és Andy 27. alkalommal vívnak meg egymással. A mérleg a jelen pillanatban 18:8 Đoković javára, aki a 2013-as elveszített wimbledoni döntő óta zsinórban hétszer múlta felül mai riválisát. Ebből háromszor az idén játszottak, s Đoković az Australian Open döntőjében, az Indian Wells-i elődöntőben és Miamiban a döntőben is sikeres volt. Murray ugyan az utóbbi hetekben élete legjobbját nyújtja a salakon, de Novak is kiváló formában van, a Nadal elleni sima győzelme pedig mindenképpen esélyessé teszi. Novak mellett szól két másik adat is, hisz salakon mindkétszer legyőzte a skótot, a Grand Slam-tornákon pedig 5:2-es mérleggel büszkélkedhet ellene. Összevetve, nem lenne meglepetés, ha ma még jobb meccset láthatnánk, mint amilyen a szerdai, előrehozott döntőnek is nevezett, Nadal elleni csata volt.

Wawrinka és Tsonga mérkőzése teljesen nyílt, amit kettőjük eddigi 3:3-as mérlege is alátámaszt. A Roland Garroson már kétszer játszottak, 2011-ben a svájci, egy évre rá pedig a francia győzött, akinek az az álma, hogy Yannick Noah után a vendéglátók első GS-bajnoka legyen. Ha ez valóban megtörténne, azzal Nadalt újabb nagy csapás érné, hiszen a ranglistán kiesne a legjobb tízből.

Ana Ivanović számára tegnap ért véget a párizsi torna. Ivanović az első játszmában kiengedte az 5:2-es vezetést, a másodikban pedig 2:4-ről csak 5:5-ig jutott, így a cseh Lucie Šafářová jutott pályafutása első nagydöntőjébe, és feltornázta magát Ana mögé a ranglista 7. helyére. Šafářová a szombati döntőben Serena Williamsszel találkozik, aki végigköhögte az elődöntőt, végig vonszolta magát, de tapasztalata elég volt a győzelemhez a svájci színekben játszó Bacsinszky Tímeával szemben.

Györe az elődöntőben!

A csehországi Prostějovban tegnap egészen váratlanul szerbiai házirangadót játszottak. Györe László ugyanis előző este bravúros módon ütötte ki az első kiemelt szlovák Martin Kližant, a ranglista 36. helyezettjét. Az első játszmában Györe 2:5-ről három breakkel fordított, a másodikban a szlovák volt jobb, a harmadikban pedig a zentai játékos nem engedte ki a kezéből a gyorsan szerzett előnyt. Györe tegnap is remekelt, a 6. kiemelt Dušan Lajovićot búcsúztatta, amivel elődöntős lett, és egészen biztos bejut a 200 legjobb közé. Az első játszmában a zentai teniszező kiengedte a 3:1-es vezetést, a másodikban 2:4-ről fordított, a harmadikban pedig végig irányítani tudott a tapasztaltabb ópázovai játékos ellen. Györe az elődöntőben a spanyol Marcel Granollers és a brazil Joao Souza meccsének győztesével találkozik. A másik szerbiai érdekeltségű meccsen a cseh Jiří Veselý két szoros játszmában múlta felül Filip Krajinovićot. 

Szarvas Dávid hadnagy számára örökre emlékezetes nap marad május 29-e. A fiatal pilótajelölt az MH 86. Szolnok Helikopter Bázison, hozzátartozói jelenlétében hajtotta végre zárórepülését, gyakorlati repülőkiképzése befejező momentumaként és ezzel egy lépéssel közelebb került gyermekkori álmához.

Naponta mintegy 800 egységes mezőgazdasági támogatás-igénylést fogadnak el a Hargita Megyei Mezőgazdasági Kifizetési és Intervenciós Ügynökség (APIA) munkatársai, akik délutánonként és hétvégén is dolgoznak.
