Le Conseil d'administration du FMI a approuvé aujourd'hui un nouvel accord sur deux ans au titre de la Facilité pour la résilience et la durabilité (FSR), d'un montant équivalant à 200 millions de dollars.

•Le Conseil a également achevé la troisième revue du FEP/FEC existant, donnant au Bénin un accès immédiat à 136 millions de dollars supplémentaires.

•Une collecte d'impôts robuste soutient l'assainissement budgétaire, complétant l'appui budgétaire accru des partenaires de développement du Bénin et les décaissements anticipés du Fonds au titre du FEP/FEC.

Le Conseil d'administration du Fonds monétaire international a approuvé aujourd'hui un accord sur deux ans au titre de la Facilité pour la résilience et la durabilité (FSR), d'un montant de 148,56 millions de DTS (environ 200 millions de dollars, 120 pour cent de la quote-part), les décaissements devant commencer lorsque le Le premier examen de l'accord est terminé. Cet accord soutiendra le programme des autorités visant à renforcer la résilience au changement climatique en intégrant les considérations climatiques dans l'élaboration des politiques, en atténuant les risques de transition grâce à une réforme globale des subventions aux carburants et en catalysant d'autres sources de financement climatique. Le Conseil a également achevé la troisième revue de l'accord mixte FEP/FEC d'une durée de 42 mois. Le FEP/ECF a été approuvé le 8 juillet 2022 (voir PR 22/252) pour aider le Bénin à répondre à ses besoins de financement urgents, à soutenir le plan de développement national du pays centré sur la réalisation des objectifs de développement durable (ODD) et à catalyser le soutien des donateurs. L'achèvement de la revue permet le décaissement immédiat de 101,58 millions de DTS (environ 136 millions de dollars) pour l'appui budgétaire, portant le décaissement total au titre du programme à 369 millions de DTS (environ 494 millions de dollars).
