Az EU–Nyugat-Balkán csúcstalálkozót 2023. december 13-án Brüsszelben (Belgium) tartották. Megállapodás született a brüsszeli nyilatkozatról.

Most of EU member states, some of the Western Balkan partners, the Regional Cooperation Council and the European Commission pledged scholarships for the students of the new College of Europe in Tirana. The pledging event took place in the margins of the EU-Western Balkans summit in Brussels.

European Council President Charles Michel convened the summit with the Western Balkans. The summit is an opportunity to reaffirm the EU membership perspective of the Western Balkans as well as the need for partners’ sustained reform achievements.

A Tanács és a Parlament ideiglenes megállapodásra jutott az Uniónak a földközi-tengeri térségben folytatott kutatási és innovációs partnerségben való részvételének a Horizont Európa keretprogram végéig történő folytatásáról.

Charles Michel, az Európai Tanács elnöke meghívta az uniós vezetőket az Európai Tanács decemberi ülésére, ahol Ukrajnáról, a közel-keleti helyzetről, az EU bővítési politikájáról, a többéves pénzügyi keret felülvizsgálatáról, a biztonságról és védelemről, valamint a külkapcsolatokról fognak tárgyalni.

A Tanács és a Parlament ideiglenes megállapodást értek el a haknigazdaságban dolgozó személyek számára munkavállalói jogokat biztosító új szabályokról.

Az EU jobb, határokon átnyúló hozzáférést szeretne biztosítani az egészségügyi adatokhoz a polgárok, az egészségügyi szakemberek és a kutatók számára.
