A Tanács korlátozó intézkedéseket fogadott el három személlyel és négy szervezettel szemben, akik, illetve amelyek támogatják Észak-Korea tömegpusztító fegyverekkel kapcsolatos programjait és megsértik az ENSZ-szankciókat, többek között az Oroszország és a KNDK közötti együttműködés keretében.

A libanoni fegyveres erők és a belső biztonsági erők megerősítése, valamint az ország stabilitásához való hozzájárulás céljából a Tanács létrehozta az EU libanoni támogató misszióját (EUSM Libanon).

A Tanács Oroszország Ukrajna elleni agressziós háborújának kezdete óta most fogadta el a jegyzékbe vételek legnagyobb csomagját: Oroszország katonai-ipari komplexumában közreműködő 826 orosz vállalattal és 743 személlyel szemben hozott korlátozó intézkedéseket.

A Tanács korlátozó intézkedéseket fogadott el 77 olyan személlyel szemben, akik – jelöltként vagy az Oroszországi Föderáció Központi Választási Bizottságának tagjaként – részt vettek az orosz Állami Duma összetételére vonatkozóan 2026 szeptemberében Ukrajna Oroszország által ideiglenesen és jogellenesen megszállt területein tartott jogellenes, úgynevezett „választásokon”.

Today, the EU and Ukraine took another important step in the accession process by opening negotiations on the so-called 'internal market' and 'competitiveness and inclusive growth' clusters.

On 9 October, the European Union and Ukraine held their 5th Cyber Dialogue, in Brussels. The exchanges highlighted the importance and depth of the EU-Ukraine cyber partnership, spanning from operational cybersecurity cooperation, alignment to EU norms and policies, to cyber defence and diplomacy, including sanctions. Against the backdrop of Russia's continued war of aggression against Ukraine, the increasingly complex cyber threat landscape, and Ukraine's ongoing EU accession process, the Dialogue reaffirmed the shared determination of the EU and Ukraine to further strengthen cooperation and jointly address persistent and evolving cyber threats.

Today, 13 October, Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna took part in a panel discussion on the future of the liberal world order on the main stage of the Warsaw Security Forum. Tsahkna stressed that Europe's security and the rules-based international order are being defended in Ukraine, and that Europe must take action on measures that have so far been put on hold, both to support Ukraine and to increase pressure on Russia.
