Újabb jelentős katonai támogatási csomagot jelentett be Hollandia Ukrajna számára. A holland kormány összesen 500 millió eurót különít el drónok, légvédelmi eszközök és kapcsolódó haditechnikai felszerelések beszerzésére.

A bejelentés szerint a támogatás felét, 250 millió eurót holland védelmi ipari vállalatoktól vásárolt pilóta nélküli eszközök beszerzésére fordítják. A fennmaradó összeggel a PURL nemzetközi fegyverszállítási programot finanszírozzák, amely amerikai gyártmányú haditechnikai eszközök Ukrajnába juttatását segíti elő.

A mostani hozzájárulással Hollandia összesített részvétele a PURL-programban eléri az egymilliárd eurót.

A kezdeményezés révén Ukrajna légvédelmi rendszerekhez szükséges berendezéseket és rakétákat, valamint az F–16-os vadászgépekhez és más fegyverrendszerekhez szükséges lőszereket is kap.

A katonai támogatás mellett a két ország a védelmi innovációk területén is szorosabb együttműködésre készül. Hollandia és Ukrajna szándéknyilatkozatot írt alá, amely a hadiipari fejlesztések és az új technológiák közös fejlesztésének lehetőségeit rögzíti.

A holland kormány ezzel ismét megerősítette elkötelezettségét Ukrajna támogatása mellett.

On 22 June, Alice Rufo, Deputy Minister to the Minister of the Armed Forces of France will brief SEDE on "forward deterrence" in the context of the updated French nuclear doctrine and European Security. A joint four-Committee (AFET/SEDE/INTA/BUDG) exchange of views will be held on the "Ukraine Support Loan Dialogue". On 23 June, SEDE Members will assess the implementation of the EU's Security Action for Europe (SAFE) loan programme with the European Commission's DG DEFIS.

In association with the Delegation for relations with the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, SEDE will be briefed by Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, NATO Military Committee Chair, on the outcome of the Military Committee in Chiefs of Defence Session. Votes will be held on the SEDE-TRAN Military Mobility regulation, the SEDE opinion on the NRPP Fund as well as on 23 and 24 June on the Defence Omnibus.
