Debate: France: going greener with nuclear energy

French President Emmanuel Macron has outlined in a speech how he wants to make France greener and more digital by 2030. He said further investments are needed in nuclear power, which he described as absolutely key to achieving the climate goals. But this is also about business: shortly after Macron's speech the French state energy company EDF submitted an offer to Poland for the construction of four to six nuclear reactors.

After 20 days of advance notice, workers in Italy have until Friday to prove that they have either been vaccinated, recovered from coronavirus or that they have tested negative. Observers expect fierce resistance to the new regulations: staff at various ports in the country are threatening blockades if the measure is not withdrawn, and lorry drivers have also threatened walkouts. The national press calls on society to stand firm.

Romania's health budget is already one of the lowest in the EU, and the country suffers from serious healthcare deficiencies. The media are therefore critical of the idea.

Identités des 14 personnes déposées en prison

Les identités des quatorze (14) personnes en détention provisoire à la prison civile d'Akpro-Missérété dans l'affaire de 2,5 tonnes de cocaïne au Bénin sont connues.

Une quinzaine de personnes ont été arrêtées et déposées à la prison civile d'Akpro-Missérété suite à la découverte de 2,5 tonnes de cocaïne dans un magasin à Ekpé PK10 dans la commune de Sèmè-Kpodji. Ledit magasin appartenant au Libanais EL Dorr Zafer, a été loué par le ressortissant ivoirien Kipre Kouadio. Les 14 personnes interpellées sont de différentes nationalités. Elles sont poursuivies pour « trafic de drogue international à haut risque, blanchiment et tentative de corruption ». Selon ‘'Le Potentiel'', le plus jeune des accusés a 24 ans et le plus âgé 59 ans.
