Danish citizens over 50 will be offered a fourth Covid-19 vaccine dose in October, prime minister Mette Frederiksen announced on Wednesday. But vulnerable people will have the opportunity of re-vaccination from next week after a new variant, BA5, is on the rise. Danish authorities announced a shift in strategy, no longer believing vaccination can limit spread of the virus, but instead mainly prevent severe illness.

Az Európai Zsidó Szövetség (EJA) kitüntette Pintér Sándor belügyminisztert a közbiztonság javításáért és az antiszemitizmus elleni küzdelemben végzett munkájáért – közölték magyar zsidó szervezetek.

A kitüntetést Menachem Margolin rabbi, az EJA elnöke adta át.

A brüsszeli központú szervezet Budapesten tartott éves konferenciáján, hétfőn mutatta be azt a tanulmányt, amely nemzetközi kutatásokat összesítve, a zsidóság biztonságérzete, az antiszemitizmus vagy éppen az Izrael-ellenesség alapján rangsorolja az európai országokat. E kutatás szerint Magyarország, Olaszország után, a második “legbarátságosabb” a zsidósággal.

A közlemény szerint a díj átadásakor Alex Benjamin, az EJA igazgatója méltatta a belügyminiszter érdemeit és a magyar kormány erőfeszítéseit. Megemlítette, hogy Pintér minisztersége alatt fejlesztették a rendvédelmi szervek és a zsidó közösségek közötti együttműködést, valamint hogy a kormány zéró toleranciát hirdetett az antiszemitizmussal szemben.

Kitért arra, hogy a Nemzeti Közszolgálati Egyetem rendészettudományi kara felvette tantárgyai közé a gyűlölet-bűncselekmények bűnüldözését és bűnmegelőzését. Kidolgozták a nemzetiszocialista és a kommunista rendszerek bűneinek nyilvános tagadása bűncselekménnyel kapcsolatos, részletes vizsgálati és alkalmazási módszertant. Módosították a büntető törvénykönyvet, hogy a kisebbségekkel szembeni erőszakra uszítás mellett a gyűlöletre uszítás is büntetendő legyen. Az alaptörvényben pedig garantálták a közösségek méltóságának védelmét – áll a közleményben.
