Depuis son indépendance en 1974, le pays a connu plusieurs coups d’Etat et tentatives de putschs. Le 26 novembre, les militaires se sont emparés du pouvoir, plongeant le territoire dans une nouvelle incertitude politique.

A l’occasion des 15 ans de la révolution tunisienne, l’essayiste revient, dans une tribune au « Monde », sur la politique autoritaire du président Kaïs Saïed, et explique pourquoi une partie de la population le perçoit pourtant « comme le continuateur de la révolution ».

Des négociateurs américains ont assuré, lundi 15 décembre, que les États-Unis avaient offert à Kiev des garanties de sécurité « très fortes » mais néanmoins acceptables selon eux pour la Russie. Des divergences persistent néanmoins sur la question des concessions territoriales.
