GCAP Africa announces new Africa Regional Council Members

The new team are already members of the regional assembly who are bringing diverse expertise and huge experiences of being in GCAP for many years.

The Savannah Regional Police Commander has appealed to traditional authorities in the region to assist the police service in the fight against armed robbery on the roads and highways on Wednesday. According to DCOP Enoch Adutwum Bediako, most of the robberies committed on the roads and highways in the region are carried out by Fulani herdsmen.

As part of efforts to support Muslim communities as they mark this year 39;s Ramadan month-long period of Muslim fasting, the Member of Parliament for Salaga South Constituency, Hon Hajia Zuwera Ibrahimah, has donated 300 of the 50kg sized bags of Sugar to be distributed to Muslims in her constituency.

11 killed in another accident on the Buipe-Tamale highway

Eleven persons have perished in an accident involving a Toyota minibus and a DAF Tipper truck in Alipe near Yapei in the Central Gonja District of the newly created Savannah Region. The Toyota mini bus with registration number AS 2872-20 is said to have veered off his lane and collided head-on with the DAF tipper truck with registration number NR 578.

Five grabbed for stealing twin babies at Sefwi-Punikrom
