A szociáldemokraták, a zöldek és a liberálisok a jövő héten az EP elé kerülő állásfoglalásban arra szólítanák fel az Európai Bizottságot, hogy szeptember 15-ig készítsen jelentést a jogállam és az alapvető jogok magyarországi helyzetéről. Az Európai Néppárt szövegtervezete ugyan kritikus, de nem tart szükségesnek semmilyen következményt Magyarországra nézve a halálbüntetésről szóló vita felmelegítése és a bevándorlási kérdőív egyébként általuk is határozottan megbélyegzett tartalma miatt. Az EP plenárisa jövő szerdán szavaz a magyarországi helyzetről szóló állásfoglalásról.

Ismét utcára vonulnak az erdőpusztítások ellen az ország több városában. A tiltakozó megmozdulásokhoz ezúttal is csatlakozik Sepsiszentgyörgy, ahol a Holzindustrie Schweighofer fűrészüzemének engedélyeztetése elleni tüntetést helyezik előtérbe.

POZSONY. A Pro Civis polgári társulás bő egy hete tette közzé felhívását a szlovákiai magyar önkormányzati politikusok önkéntes, intézményes fórumának létrehozására. Őry Péter, a társulás vezetője, a Magyar Közösség Pártja önkormányzati alelnöke portálunkkal tudatta: már több polgármestertől és önkormányzati képviselőtől kaptak válaszlevelet, amelyek bizonyítják: igény mutatkozik a jövendő fórum iránt.
