A deal struck by MEPs and Council of Ministers negotiators in the small hours of Thursday morning means the architecture of the Juncker plan to unlock €315 billion public and private investments in the real economy in 2015-2017 can now be put to a European Parliament vote on 24 June and the investment programme can kick off in the summer.

Plenáris ülés : Európának az életmentésre kell összpontosítania a bevándorlás kapcsán – mondta Ban Ki Mun ENSZ-főtitkár az Európai Parlament május 27-i brüsszeli plenáris ülésén. Beszédében elmondta, hogy idén már 1800 menekült fulladt vízbe, miközben a Földközi-tengeren keresztül Európába igyekezett. „Európának fontos szerepe van és felelősen kell cselekednie. Az életmentés a legfontosabb feladat.” Ban Ki Mun a fenntartható fejlődésről és az extrémizmus megfékezéséről is beszélt.

Tunisia’s Prime Minister Habib Essid, will meet the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Human Rights and Security and Defence subcommittees on Thursday at 9.00. This will be his first visit to the European Parliament since he became Prime Minister in February this year.

Plenary sessions : Healthy eating habits start young, so the EU and its member states should do and spend more to encourage kids to eat healthy and local foods, Parliament said on Wednesday. To ensure that they get healthy eating lessons, as well as school milk, fruit, and vegetables from EU schemes, Parliament amended draft rules and approved a mandate for MEPs to negotiate their final form with EU member states.

"The Central African Republic is doing much better. There is a clear improvement even if it is still very fragile," CAR's interim president, Catherine Samba-Panza, told foreign affairs MEPs on Tuesday. CAR still needs the EU's "multi-dimensional aid", she stressed, calling on member states to redouble their efforts to help the CAR meet its electoral, budgetary and security challenges.

Plenáris ülés : Az Egyesült Nemzetek Szövetségének főtitkára, Ban Ki Mun ma 15:15 órakor felszólal az Európai Parlamentben. A főtitkár várhatóan a Földközi-tengeren a közelmúltban menekültekkel történt tragédiákról és az Unió migrációs tervéről beszél majd. 2010. október 19-én már mondott beszédet a strasbourgi plenáris ülésen, 2014 áprilisában pedig négyszemközti megbeszélést folytatott Martin Schulz-cal, az Európai Parlament elnökével.

Plenáris ülés : Közös jogi és pénzügyi rendszert hoz létre az EU az iskolatej és –gyümölcs programok végrehajtására. Erről május 27-én, szerdán vitázik és szavaz az EP plenárisa, amelyet 17 órától honlapunkon is élőben lehet követni. A lépéssel csökkenhetnek a programok adminisztrációs költségei, és remélhetőleg megfordítható az a tendencia is, hogy az európai iskolások egyre kevesebb gyümölcsöt, zöldséget és tejterméket fogyasztanak.

A reform of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS), informally agreed with the Latvian Presidency of the Council of Ministers, was backed by the Environment Committee on Tuesday. The reform aims to reduce the surplus of carbon credits available for trading in order to support the price of the emission rights. The scheme would start operating in 2019.

Általános : Az EU–USA szabadkereskedelmi megállapodásról (TTIP) zajló tárgyalásokról mond véleményt a nemzetközi kereskedelmi szakbizottság csütörtökön. A szerdai brüsszeli plenáris ülésen felszólal Ban Ki Mun ENSZ-főtitkár, és a héten szó lesz az uniós bankrendszer és a kiberbiztonság megerősítéséről is.

The foreign affairs committee meets Catherina Samba-Panza, interim president of the Central African Republic (CAR), at 16.15 on Tuesday. They are expected to debate the recently concluded national reconciliation forum in Bangui, preparations for the general and presidential elections, the political transition, the EU military advisory mission (EUMAM) in CAR and security-sector reform.

Plenáris ülés : Ismét magyar vitanapot rendezett az EP a héten. Ezenkívül a képviselők szabályokat fogadtak el annak kivédése érdekében, hogy a válságzónákból származó ásványok eladásából befolyó pénzek ne fegyveres csoportokhoz kerüljenek, szó volt a bevándorlás szabályozásáról, és a pénzmosás elleni szabályok szigorításáról. Plenáris ülés : Minden évben 1,7 millió munkahely szűnik meg Európában a vállalatok fizetésképtelensége és csődje miatt. Mintegy 400 ezer munkahely esetében nemzetközi színtéren működő vállalatok az érintettek. Szerdán az EP olyan szabályokat fogadott el, amelyek a fizetésképtelenség kezelésén túl a csődhelyzetek kialakulását is megelőzné.

Plenary sessions : Today’s unprecedented level of instability at EU borders demands that the EU and its member states shoulder more responsibility for their security and defence now, say MEPs in a resolution voted on Thursday. They urge member states to use Common Security and Defence Policy tools more effectively, improve the fit between external and internal security measures, and pool and share resources, so as to counter terrorism, fight organised crime, strengthen cyber-defence and cope with migration.

Plenáris ülés : A balkáni országban kialakult politikai helyzetről vitázik az EP szerda délután Federica Mogherini uniós külügyi főképviselővel. Macedónia Volt Jugoszláv Köztársaság 2005 decembere óta uniós tagjelölt ország, az elmúlt napokban viszont a kormányellenes és kormánypárti tüntetések apropóján szerepelt a hírekben. A plenáris vita előtt Alojz Peterlét, az országgal foglalkozó parlamenti küldöttség elnökét kérdeztük.

Plenáris ülés : Az ónt, tantált, volfrámot és aranyat importáló vállalatoknak uniós tanúsítvánnyal kellene igazolniuk, hogy érc- és fémvásárlásukkal nem az egyes válságzónák konfliktusait táplálják, és nem járulnak hozzá jogsértésekhez, fogalmaz a Parlament egy szerdán 402 szavazattal, 118 ellenszavazat és 171 tartózkodás mellett elfogadott véleményében.
