The US House of Representatives and Senate have approved the release of confidential files from the investigations into the Epstein scandal. Now the law still needs to be signed by US President Trump, who has long resisted the release of the documents even though he promised to go along with it during his election campaign. Could the files on sex offender Jeffrey Epstein pose a threat to the president?

On Tuesday, the opposition blocked a parliamentary vote on dismissing Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko and Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynychuk, with the leader of the European Solidarity party, ex-president Petro Poroshenko, insisting that the entire government resign.

FCBE, premier parti à déposer son dossier pour les législatives

La Force cauris pour un Bénin émergent (FCBE), a déposé son dossier de candidature dans le cadre des élections législatives de janvier 2026 au Bénin. C'est le premier parti à se faire enregistrer à la Commission électorale nationale autonome (CENA), dans la matinée de ce mercredi 19 novembre 2025.

A quelques heures de la fin du délai imparti pour l'enregistrement des dossiers de candidatures pour les élections législatives de 2026, la Force cauris pour un Bénin émergent, parti d'opposition, se conforme aux exigences de la CENA, et dépose son dossier. Paul Hounkpè et les siens ont foulé le sol de l'institution en charge de l'organisation des élections au Bénin dans la matinée de ce mercredi 19 novembre peu avant 10 heures. FCBE devient le premier parti à se faire enregistrer dans le cadre de ces élections.
L'enregistrement de dossiers de candidatures pour les législatives de 2026 a démarré samedi 15 novembre dernier, et prend fin ce mercredi 19 novembre. Aucune rallonge ne sera accordée, avait averti Sacca Lafia, président de la CENA lors de la conférence de presse de lancement.
