Depuis plus d’un an, la ville de Beni assume le rôle de chef-lieu provisoire de la province du Nord-Kivu suite à l’occupation de Goma par l’AFC/M23.


Malgré ce nouveau statut, la voirie urbaine de la ville reste confrontée à un manque d'aménagement criant.


L’activité administrative, économique et humanitaire a considérablement augmenté à Beni.
