A delegation of AFET members will travel to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan from 21 to 25 August 2023. The AFET delegation will discuss the regional developments and the potential for closer cooperation in the current challenging geopolitical context, including the impact of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and the introduction of EU sanctions on Russia.

A delegation of AFET members will travel to Japan and Taiwan from 24 to 27 July 2023. This mission would contribute to strengthening the cooperation with like-minded partners in the Indo-Pacific region. The AFET visit to Japan and Taiwan will allow discussing the regional dimension and further geopolitical developments in both the Indo-Pacific and the South China Sea region.

Durant les heures qui ont suivi le renversement du président Gabonais Ali Bongo, plusieurs de ses proches ont été mis aux arrêts par les nouvelles autorités militaires.

A delegation of AFET Members travelled to Santiago and Valparaíso (Chile) and Brasília (Brazil) from 18 to 23 June 2023. The main goal of this mission was to discuss how to make a qualitative leap in the EU-Latin America strategic bi-regional partnership in view of the CELAC-EU Summit on 17-18 July 2023.
Members held meetings with Chilean and Brazilian authorities to discuss global and regional security dynamics against the backdrop of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and the assertive behaviour of China. The visit allowed to exchange views on the state of bilateral relations in view of the forthcoming ratification of the EU-Chile Advanced Framework Agreement by the European Parliament and reinvigorating the strategic partnership with Brazil.

A delegation of seven AFET Members travelled to Washington D.C. and Wisconsin, United States from 15 to 19 May. The main goal of the mission was to establish and deepen the political dialogue with the US administration and meet counterparts in Congress, following the US mid-term elections. Members held meetings with Government and Congress representatives in Washington D.C., as well as think tanks
The visit to Wisconsin, a swing and bellwether State, provided AFET members with an in-depth look into the political climate of grass-roots America from a transatlantic perspective. In addition to meeting the political authorities and institutions of the State of Wisconsin, Members also met management and students form the Jean Monnet Programme on European and Global studies at the University of Madison - Wisconsin, representatives of the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce and the Trade Unions.The mission was the first AFET mission to the US under the Biden administration and also the first AFET mission to Wisconsin.

The visit in Wisconsin allowed members to feel the political temperature outside Washington D.C. and particularly in a state like Wisconsin, which is in a very special political situation due to the gerrymandering and the resulting blockages of the legislative process.

A kilencvenes évek közepén még javában tartott a papíralapú promóciós anyagok kora. A hazai repülőnapokra érkező cégek a várható vadászgép-típusváltás kapcsán, bőkezűen osztogatták a kisebb-nagyobb brosúrákat, tájékoztató kiadványokat és posztereket a sajtónak és a nagyközönségnek egyaránt. Ezek általános adatokat tartalmazó, túl sok érdemi információ nélkül szerkesztett színes kiadványok voltak, mégis nagy népszerűségnek örvendtek, hiszen a kereskedelmi internet szolgáltatás – felejthetetlen betárcsázós hangjával – csak ekkoriban indult el Magyarországon, és hasonló képanyagokat egy-két kivételtől eltekintve leginkább a nyugati repülőmagazinokban láthattunk. Ebbe az albumba a Lockheed Martin, a McDonnell Douglas / Boeing és a Saab kiadványaiból válogattam. A negyedik nagyágyú, a Dassault anyagaiból egy sem jutott el hozzám.

La santé mentale des Européens est en déclin depuis des années et s’est aggravée pendant la pandémie de Covid-19. Suite à la communication de la Commission européenne en juin dernier, la commission  Santé du Parlement européen a rédigé le premier rapport sur la santé mentale.

Les Aspirants au Métier d'Enseignant (AME) sont invités à confirmer leur disponibilité pour la rentrée scolaire 2023-2024.

Le Ministère des enseignements secondaire, technique et de la formation professionnelle procède à l'actualisation de la base de données des Aspirants au Métier d'Enseignant (AME) dans le cadre d'un redéploiement pour la rentrée scolaire 2023-2024.
L'opération démarre ce jeudi 31 août 2023 et prendra fin le vendredi 08 septembre 2023 à minuit.
Les AME qui ont servi jusqu'à la fin de l'année scolaire 2022-2023 sont invités à confirmer leur disponibilité pour la rentrée scolaire 2023-2024.
Les enseignants concernés sont invités à se rendre sur la plateforme EducMaster http://educmaster.bj via un navigateur Web et se connecter avec leurs identifiants et mot de passe. Chaque AME se rend ensuite sur son espace personnel et clique sur le Menu : Gestion administrative > Mon espace. Celui-ci confirme enfin sa disponibilité à servir au titre de l'année scolaire 2023- 2024.
Il est demandé aux AME de se rapprocher de leur chef d'établissement en cas d'oubli de l'identifiant et/ou mot de passe.
L'opération permettra de procéder à un redéploiement complémentaire.
Selon le Ministère des enseignements secondaire, technique et de la formation professionnelle, les AME qui ne confirmeront pas leur disponibilité avant la fin de l'opération seront remplacés.

General Brice Oligui Nguema has been named "transitional president" of Gabon. The military seized power in the resource-rich central African country after Ali Bongo, who has been president since 2009, was declared the winner of Sunday's presidential election. Oligui was previously seen as a member of Bongo's inner circle. The UN, the African Union and governments worldwide have condemned the coup.
