Der Rat hat heute Schlussfolgerungen zu einer Europäischen Wasserresilienzstrategie gebilligt, in denen das Engagement der EU für den Schutz der Wasserressourcen, die Stärkung der Resilienz und die Bewältigung der Herausforderungen des Klimawandels bekräftigt wird.

Am 22. Oktober wird sich der Präsident des Europäischen Rates, António Costa, mit der Präsidentin des Ausschusses der Regionen Kata Tüttő, dem scheidenden Präsidenten des Wirtschafts- und Sozialausschusses Oliver Röpke und dem neuen Präsidenten Séamus Boland treffen. Es findet im Vorfeld des Dreigliedrigen Sozialgipfels und der Beratungen des Europäischen Rates über die Wohnungspolitik statt.
