Les jeunes de la communauté U-Report ont mené, samedi 21 février une vaste opération de salubrité dans les communes de Nzanza et Mvuzi, ville de Matadi (Kongo Central). Cette action citoyenne, baptisée « U-Action », s'inscrit dans le cadre des Objectifs de développement durable (ODD) pour promouvoir un environnement sain.

Face à une explosion démographique galopante et des défis environnementaux pressants, la ville de Kinshasa bénéficie désormais de l’appui de la coopération britannique à travers le programme GCIEP (Green City Integrated Empowerment Program).

Ce projet pilote présenté lundi 23 février, vise à transformer la capitale congolaise en une ville plus résiliente, en s’attaquant prioritairement à la gestion des déchets, à la mobilité et aux inondations.
