Der Rat hat am 19. Juni 2015 die als Reaktion auf die rechtswidrige Eingliederung der Krim und Sewastopols verhängten restriktiven Maßnahmen der EU bis zum 23. Juni 2016 verlängert. Die Sanktionen umfassen folgende Verbote:

• Einfuhr von Waren mit Ursprung auf der Krim oder in Sewastopol in die EU;
• Investitionen auf der Krim oder in Sewastopol, was bedeutet, dass weder Europäer noch Unternehmen mit Sitz in der EU Immobilien oder Einrichtungen auf der Krim erwerben, Unternehmen mit Sitz auf der Krim finanzieren oder damit in Zusammenhang stehende Dienstleistungen erbringen können; 
•  Tourismusdienstleistungen auf der Krim oder in Sewastopol, insbesondere dürfen europäische Kreuzfahrtschiffe keine Häfen auf der Halbinsel Krim anlaufen, es sei denn, es handelt sich um einen Notfall;  
• Ausfuhr bestimmter Güter und Technologien in den Bereichen Verkehr, Telekommunikation und Energie oder in Zusammenhang mit der Prospektion, Exploration und Förderung von Öl-, Gas- und Mineralressourcen an Unternehmen mit Sitz auf der Krim oder für die Zwecke einer Verwendung auf der Krim. Die Leistung technischer Hilfe oder die Erbringung von Vermittlungs-, Bau- oder Ingenieurdienstleistungen, die mit der Infrastruktur in den genannten Bereichen in Zusammenhang stehen, ist ebenfalls verboten.

 Wie der Europäische Rat am 19. März 2015 erklärt hat, verurteilt die EU weiterhin die rechtswidrige Annexion der Krim und von Sewastopol durch die Russische Föderation und ist weiter fest entschlossen, ihre Politik der Nichtanerkennung uneingeschränkt umzusetzen.

The situation of Greece is getting critical. The current economic assistance programme to Greece runs out in 11 days. Four months of negotiations have not led to the necessary compromise. The Eurogroup meeting yesterday did not manage to break the deadlock. The game of chicken needs to end, and so does the blame game. Because this is not a game and there is no time for any games. It is reality with real possible consequences, first and foremost for the Greek people.

This is why I have decided to convene a Euro Summit on Greece on Monday evening. The purpose of the summit is to make sure that we all understand each other's positions and the consequences of our decisions. We need to get rid of any illusions that there will be a magic solution at the leaders' level. The summit will not be the final step. There will be no detailed technical negotiations. That remains the job of the finance ministers.

We are close to the point where the Greek government will have to choose between accepting what I believe is a good offer of continued support or to head towards default. At the end of the day, this is and can only be a Greek decision and a Greek responsibility. There is still time, but only a few days. Let us use them wisely.
