EU Ministers of Foreign and European Affairs meet on 26 June 2018 in Luxembourg to discuss draft conclusions of the June European Council and hold a first hearing on the rule of law in Poland. They are expected to adopt conclusions on enlargement and the Stabilisation and Association Process.

EU Foreign Affairs and Defence ministers meet on 25 June 2018 in Luxembourg to discuss and adopt conclusions on EU cooperation in security and defence, and hold a session on EU-NATO cooperation together with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg. Over lunch, foreign ministers discuss Yemen with UN Special Envoy Martin Griffiths. The Council adopts conclusions. Foreign ministers also discuss the implementation of the EU Global Strategy, the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea (with Council conclusions), and Jordan.

Environment Council - June 2018

EU Ministers for Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs (EPSCO) meet on 21 and 22 June 2018 in Luxembourg to discuss several legislative proposals, including the coordination of social security systems, work-life balance and transparent and predictable working conditions. They also hold a debate on the employment and social policy aspects of the 2018 European Semester exercise. On the second day, Health ministers hold a debate on the proposed regulation on health technology assessment. They also discuss the future of health in the EU.

EU Finance Ministers meet on 22 June 2018 in Luxembourg to close the excessive deficit procedure for France, and to approve country-specific recommendations under the 2018 'European Semester'. They also discuss a proposed European deposit insurance scheme and fulfilment of the eurozone convergence criteria.

EU Finance Ministers of the eurozone meet on 21 June 2018 in Luxembourg to discuss all elements needed to ensure a successful completion of Greece's economic adjustment programme by August. These elements are related to the surveillance framework that will apply after the programme, the size of the final tranche of financial support by the ESM and the possible debt measures.

Relations between Hong Kong and the EU are based on a high-level annual meeting called the Structured Dialogue between the EU and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSARG). The tenth Structured Dialogue took place in November 2016 in Brussels.

On 8-9 June 2018, Canada hosts the G7 meeting in Charlevoix. European Council President Donald TUSK and European Commission President Jean-Claude JUNCKER represent the EU at the summit. The Canadian G7 presidency in 2018 focuses on 5 themes: investing in growth that works for everyone, preparing for jobs of the future, advancing gender equality and women's empowerment, working together on climate change, oceans and clean energy, and building a more peaceful and secure world.

EU Ministers for Transport, Infrastructure, and Communications meet on 11 June 2018 in Luxembourg and are due to adopt a general approach on the regulation on ACER, the EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators. The Presidency is informing Ministers about the state of play in trilogue negotiations on the governance of the Energy Union, the directive on renewable energy and the directive on energy efficiency.

EU Ministers for Transport, Infrastructure, and Communications meet on 7 and 8 June 2018 in Luxembourg to discuss topics of transport and telecommunications. The agenda includes, among other topics, key proposals on drivers' driving and rest times, the posting of road hauliers and cabotage restrictions; safeguarding competition in air transport; port reception facilities for the delivery of waste from ships; electronic road tolling and exchange of information; and the use of hired vehicles. On the second day, the Council is due to agree on a general approach on a proposed Cybersecurity Act regulation. Ministers discuss a proposal to update privacy rules for electronic communications (ePrivacy), and a draft directive to promote the re-use of public sector information.

On Tuesday 5 June 2018, the Informal Meeting of Agriculture and Fisheries Ministers takes place in Sofia. The main discussion topic of the meeting is the Common Agricultural Policy in the new programming period after 2020 and attracting a new generation of agricultural workers in the agricultural sector.

Angola's partnership with the EU is based on the ACP-EU Cotonou Partnership Agreement which aims to reduce poverty by developing the Angolan economy and gradually integrating it into the global economy. The Joint Way Forward promotes more active political cooperation, especially Angola's active involvement in the different regional and multilateral fora, and prioritises key areas of common interest from the 2007 Joint Africa-EU Strategy (security, governance, human rights, economic growth, energy, transport, environment, science and technology, training and education).

On 2 December 2015 the EU signed a short-stay visa waiver agreement with Colombia, at a ceremony that took place in Brussels. The EU’s relations with Colombia are built on political dialogue, trade, and development cooperation, and cover a wide range of bilateral, regional and multilateral issues, whilst also helping to address the legacies of its internal armed conflict.
