European Council President Charles Michel and EU leaders discussed via video conference five key topics in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic and how to strengthen EU health systems, coordination and preparedness for the future.

The Council declared the head of the Mission of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the European Union persona non grata.

President Charles Michel to visit Republic of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine

The Council prolonged until 28 February 2022 the existing sanctions against high-level officials and entities responsible for the violent repression and intimidation of peaceful demonstrators, members of the opposition and journalists in Belarus.

The EU issued a declaration reiterating its strong commitment to and continued support for the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, and expressing its deep concern about Iran’s decision to suspend the provisional application of the Additional Protocol as well as additional transparency provisions as of 23 February 2021.

EU extends mandates of six EU special representatives.

Az EU nyilatkozatot adott ki a Krími Autonóm Köztársaság és Szevasztopol város Oroszországi Föderáció általi erőszakos és jogellenes annektálásának hetedik évfordulója alkalmából, amelyben ismételten hangsúlyozza, hogy nem ismeri el és változatlanul elítéli az orosz fél lépését, amely sérti a nemzetközi jogot.
